Healthcare Assistant Band 2
We're looking for a Health Care Assistant caring for Orthopaedic and Surgical patients both pre and post operatively.
Your main responsibilities will be:
You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering care to the patients
Your duties will be maintaining standards on the ward.
Delivering a high quality of care by assisting with hygiene, nutrition and hydrations as well as providing physiological support to the patients and carers.
The ward cares for elderly and patients many who are living with dementia, this can be challenging at times but very rewarding.

Our inpatient unit at Newton Community Hospital is where patients needing acute hospital beds can continue rehabilitation, freeing up space for more unwell patients. We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.
We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
