Summary

To join our team, we are looking for a dedicated and caring healthcare assistant. In this position, you will be responsible for giving patients vital support in a range of settings, such as home care settings and assisted living facilities. Assisting people with their everyday tasks while maintaining their comfort and wellbeing and following care plans will be your main priority. The ideal applicant would be able to drive to different locations as necessary and have excellent English communication skills.

A complete UK driver’s license is required.

Duties

• Help patients with personal care activities like grooming, clothing, and bathing.
• Encourage engagement in everyday activities to help people keep their independence.
• Execute individualised care plans for each patient, making sure that the recommended protocols are followed.
• Keep an eye on patients’ ailments and behaviours and notify the medical staff of any changes.
• Create a happy atmosphere by offering patients emotional support and companionship.
• When necessary, use IT tools to keep precise records of patient care and progress.
• Work together with other medical specialists to provide top-notch care.
• When providing home care services, drive to patients’ homes or other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Although not required, prior healthcare experience is preferred; training will be given.
• Knowledge of care plans and the capacity to adhere to them precisely.
• Strong written and spoken English communication abilities.
• For positions requiring house visits, a current driver’s license is preferred.
• It is beneficial to be familiar with IT systems for record keeping.
• It is crucial to have a kind disposition and a sincere desire to assist others.
• The capacity to be both self-motivated and operate well in a team.

Salary: £22,880.00 to £23,856.00 year
