Job summary

Une équipe dynamique au sein d'un réseau de soins primaires cherche à recruter un Healthcare Assistant enthousiaste et expérimenté. Le candidat idéal remplacera le personnel médical tout en fournissant des soins aux patients, notamment l'enregistrement de nouveaux patients et la gestion de maladies chroniques. Ce rôle implique de travailler sur plusieurs sites, avec une forte emphase sur la qualité et la collaboration au sein de l'équipe de soins.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications de Healthcare Assistant préférées.
  • Expérience en soins primaires serait bénéfique.
  • Connaissance des problèmes actuels en soins primaires.

Responsibilities

  • Assister à la livraison des soins de santé générale pour toute la population de la pratique.
  • Collaborer avec l'équipe de soins pour répondre aux besoins des patients.

Job description

We are part of Oakdale Park PCN, which is made up of Park Medical Practice and Overdale Medical Practice.

We would like to recruit an enthusiastic experienced HCA in our Primary Care Network who will join our hard working, friendly and supportive Nursing Team at Park Medical Practice. Could this be you?

Your working pattern will be, Monday, Tuesday 10am until 8pm and 8am -2pm Friday. 25 HOURS PER WEEK

You will also work every third Saturday as extended hours, enhanced rate paid as overtime.

The post holder will be required to work over two sites, occasionally three depending on service needs.

Main duties of the job
  • New Patient registration checks
  • Chronic disease management checks
  • Venepuncture taking and preparing of pathology samples
  • Urinalysis testing and recording of specimens
  • Blood pressure monitoring, pulse rate and rhythm
  • 24 hr blood pressure monitoring
  • Measurement of height and weight
  • Provision of diet and lifestyle advice
  • Foot care assessments
  • Undertake Flu Immunisations/B12 injections (under PSD)
  • Provide Smoking Cessation advice and monitoring
  • Assist with the provision of health checks for both newly registered patients and cardio vascular health checks (NHS Health checks)
  • Perform ECGs
  • Clinical Care
  • Work alongside the Clinicians in the provision of patient care (minor ops, coil and implant fit clinics)
  • Assist Clinicians in emergency management of patients
  • Act as a chaperone
  • Provide relevant health promotion literature for patients

Care and Management Programme

  • Ensure stock are provided in GP and treatment rooms
  • Comply with sterilisation procedures
  • Follow infection control standards
  • Contribute new ideas to improve patient care
  • Instruct patients in appropriate techniques or tasks
  • Ensure clinical waste is removed from clinical areas and sharps bins replaced in accordance with the IPC policy.

Must be aware of their own professional boundaries and highlight any concerns.

Formal Healthcare Assistant qualifications are preferred.

Experience working in the primary care setting would be beneficial.

Job responsibilities

The post holder is responsible for assisting the delivery of general practice nursing to the whole practice population.

The focus on the role is both the deliver quality care following practice protocols.

They will work collaboratively within the general practice team to meet the needs of patients,support the deliver of policy and procedures under the supervision of a senior nurse.

  • The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills under pressure.
