Job Summary
We are looking for either an experienced primary care Health Care Assistant or Registered Nursing associate to support our nurse team. Your role would be dependant on whether your were a nursing assocaite or Health Care Assistant
The nurse team are supportive and friendly. Depending on your skill set the hours would be negotiable but mornings are a must.
Main duties of the job
This role would be phlebotomy in the morning and then duties such as ECG's, dressings, injections etc in the afternoons depending on your skill set.
If you are a nursing associate you will need to be registered with the NMC. We may support training for cervical screening etc if you were a nuring associate.
About Us
Amersham Health Centre has 3 partner doctors, 5 salaried doctors, 4 registered nurses, 1 assistant practitioner currently undertaking her nursing degree and 1 healthcare assistant/nursing associate which is the role we are recruiting for.
The surgery will support the right employee to develop their skills as long as they have phlebotomy skills.

Phlebotomy
Carry out ECGs as requested.
Depending On Experience Also The Following:
Dressings and leg ulcer management, including dopplers and stocking measurement .
Undertake suture and staple removals.
Injections such as B12, Pnuemonia, Shingles, Flu
Support the practice with health promotion programmes.
Carry out baseline observations such as pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, height, weight and BMI, recording findings accurately.
Carry out annual diabetic checks in line with guidance.
Facilitate routine and 24-hour BP monitoring, advising patients accordingly.
Assist in the coil clinics
Ensure all clinical rooms are adequately stocked and prepared for each session.
