Job description

A fantastic opportunity to join our Community Dermatology Service as a Healthcare Assistant around the East Coastal Kent area.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive and friendly team, working together to improve how health services are delivered to patients.

An ideal candidate would have previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a GP practice, hospital, or other clinical setting, with a passion for making the patient journey as comfortable as possible.

Following full training, you will support our dermatologists and nurses in face-to-face clinics, assist with minor procedures, and may also conduct medical photography clinics, where you will complete questionnaires with patients and take specialized images.

There are 16 hours per week available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You will work based on the rota, with clinics starting as early as 8 am and finishing as late as 6 pm.

Role Requirements

• You will be working within our Dermatology Services based in our East Coastal Kent Clinics.
• This is a part-time role working 16 hours per week over 2 days.
• Locations: you will never be assigned more than one location per day.
• Locations include:
• Broadstairs Health Centre, CT10 2AJ
• Dover Health Centre, CT16 1RH
• Sturry Surgery, CT2 0EF
• Ordering supplies and equipment.
• Maintaining a tidy clinic that is always fully stocked.
• Explaining to patients what will take place during their appointment.
• Undertaking tasks delegated by the clinical and management teams.
• Providing patient care while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and privacy are always maintained and tailored to patients’ needs.
• Supporting high-quality clerical and clinical support services, including entering patient data into computer systems with attention to detail.
• Being professional, timely, and reliable.
• Ensuring confidentiality is always maintained.
• Entering notes onto electronic patient records.
• Proficient use of computer software systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
