Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a Health Care Assistant at Springfield Vale in Barnsley to support residents with dementia in a purpose-built home. You’ll assist with daily living, meals and activities, while promoting dignity and independence and maintaining care records.

Training and induction are provided as part of a supportive team. Role available on a days contract, 36 hours per week, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

• Experience in care is not essential, but a caring attitude helps.
• You are caring, kind, understanding and calm in challenging situations.
• Energetic and outgoing with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent listener and communicator, putting people first.

Responsibilities

• Support people with personal care and daily tasks.
• Assist residents at meal times.
• Monitor and support health and wellbeing needs.
• Encourage participation in social activities inside and outside the home.
• Promote dignity, independence and respect in all interactions.
• Complete and maintain care records accurately.
