Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated bank Healthcare Assistant to join our team at LivingCare Sheffield. The role involves supporting the clinical team in delivering outstanding patient care in the Outpatients and Imaging department.

Main duties of the job
  1. Supporting the clinical team to deliver high-quality care to patients and their families.
  2. Supporting with auditing and stock checks as required.
  3. Participating in regular meetings and attending other meetings as requested.
  4. Undertaking skill set appropriate tasks as required.
  5. Assisting in the maintenance of stock levels, including pharmaceutical products.
  6. Being aware of the waste management policy and ensuring adherence to it.
  7. Receiving and conveying information from telephone or personal enquiries courteously and greeting visitors in a welcoming manner.
  8. Assisting the clinical and clerical staff with administrative duties as required.
  9. Using the Healthcare Assistant competency framework to develop skills in the clinical area.
  10. Practicing safe moving and handling as taught in training.
  11. Keeping up to date with mandatory training.
  12. Maintaining effective communication with patients, staff, and the wider MDT.
  13. Reporting and investigating incidents, near misses, and complaints, and escalating issues to the Clinical Services Manager.
  14. Ensuring a safe clinical environment and following escalation procedures for risks.
  15. Working independently and as part of a team.

Person Specification
Experience
