Role Overview:

We are recruiting a Healthcare Assistant for our Surgical Orthopaedic Ward at Cromwell Hospital, which serves both UK and international patients, committed to delivering high-quality healthcare.

What you’ll do

• Provide holistic care to surgical patients pre- and post-surgery in a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio ward.
• Work closely with ward nurses and advocate for patients to deliver exceptional care.
• Welcome and receive patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Assist patients with eating, drinking, hygiene, and elimination procedures.
• Assist with observation and specimen collection.
• Participate in clinical audits.
• Understand and respect cultural needs.

What you’ll bring

• Experience on a ward or outpatient setting.
• NVQ Level 2 (Direct Patient Care) or equivalent - Essential.
• NVQ Level 3 (Direct Patient Care) - Desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
