An Exciting Opportunity to Join Our Dynamic Research Team!

Liverpool Vaccine Group (LVG) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Research Nurse to join our team at the state-of-the-art 12-bedded Human Challenge Facility (HCF) in Liverpool. This facility will serve as a hub for experimental medicine research, focusing on human challenge models to test vaccine and drug safety and efficacy. The HCF aims to develop new treatments and vaccines, supporting LSTM's global impact on infection control.

The Role:

As a Health Care Assistant, you will provide clinical care in the HCF, delivering care to participants per the study protocol while maintaining high standards and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical care to study participants
  • Collecting samples and entering data via electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs)
  • Supporting daily operations, including housekeeping and meal prep
  • Adhering to GCP guidelines
  • Collaborating with clinicians and scientists to develop better vaccines and treatments

This role offers a chance to contribute to innovative research and the development of life-saving vaccines in a collaborative environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) trained
  • Experience in a clinical/caring environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • A passion for improving global health through research
  • Availability for out-of-hours work, including nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays

Work location: Liverpool Life Science Accelerator Building, part of the Knowledge Quarter, in the Liverpool Vaccine Testing pathway.

This post is a contingent contract with hours including social hours, evenings, and weekends.
