There will also be potential opportunities to work in the community as the Demelza Care at Home service expands. Shifts will include rotation onto days, nights, weekends and public holidays, for which additional enhancement payments will be made.
To provide care and support for children and young people with life threatening and/orlife limiting conditions and their families and carers. This will involve workingcollaboratively with the family, internal and external multi-disciplinary teams andcolleagues.To use skills, knowledge and expertise in a variety of situations which will include workingwithin the hospice as well as out in the community, including the family home of childrenbeing care for. To work in the community the HCA must be competent, experienced andable to work as a lone worker. The post holder must adhere to policies and procedures atall times, underpinned by competency in clinical skills, and will be supervised by aRegistered Nurse. Shift pattern will include weekend, bank holidays, early morning/eveningand nights which are an integral part of service delivery.To safeguard all children and young people accessing services, by responding to concernsraised in a timely and appropriate manner and effectively escalating these in accordancewith policies and procedures
