A healthcare provider in Wymondham is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide high-standard care to patients. Responsibilities include supporting the nursing team with health checks, wound care, and maintaining patient records. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and have training in phlebotomy. Continuous learning and development opportunities are provided, alongside a friendly work environment.
An opportunity has arisen foran experienced Healthcare Assistant to work alongside our friendly, establishedteam of staff in Wymondham, Norfolk.
You will work alongside a team ofother Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and HCAs supported by a team of GPs, Physician Associates, Paramedic and non-clinical practice staff.
Experience in phlebotomy, wound care, health checks and health promotion, B12injections and basic vaccinations would be an advantage.

Aim of the role:
To work as aprofessionally accountable team member within the nursing department and toassist the nurses in the provision of health care provided to the patients ofWymondham Medical practice.
To ensure thatthe care delivered to the practice population is relevant, of a high standardand is clinically effective.
To undertakespecific tasks and have responsibilities to facilitate the smooth functioningof the department.
Clinical Role Overview
1.Assist in thedelivery of high standard of care to patients in conjunction with practicepolicy and protocols.
2.Promote patientequality and dignity at all times.
3.Promoteeffective communication skills between reception staff, nurses and doctors.
4.To remember thatprofessional standards and confidentiality should be maintained at all times.
5.To keep accuraterecords of all patient attendance and telephone encounters using System OneComputer System.
6.To carry outdressings following completion of wound care course.
7.To carry out NHShealth checks, Mental health physical checks and Hypertension reviews followingsuitable training.
8.To carry outECGs as requested.
9.Give B12injections, Influenza and shingles vaccines following suitable training.
10. To carry out the duties of a Phlebotomist usingappropriate PPE as and when required.
11. To carry out INR clinics using appropriate PPE asand when required.
12. Comply with Infection Control Policy in regard toSharps Safe equipment including Sharps bins.
13. To organise and document specimens as required.
14. Have Level 3 Training in Safeguarding Children.
15. Participate in the extended hours rota.
