The candidate needs to have the ability to work independently as well as being a good team player and be passionate about general practice.
The Health Care Assistant will work to support the wider nursing and GP teams.

Woodlands Medical Practice is a large-sized teaching practice serving a population of 11,500 patients from modern, purpose-built premises in Sutton-in-Ashfield. Our strong clinical workforce is supported by an experienced administrative team to provide high-quality services to our patients. We are a highly respected practice that has a long history of delivering primary care to a high standard, and as a team we have achieved an Outstanding CQC rating. We work collaboratively with three other practices as part of the Ashfield North Primary Care Network.
To assist the clinical team in the service and delivery of care to the practice population. The post holder will work under the supervision of the senior nurse undertaking tasks and duties delegated by the clinical team.
They will need to work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, ensuring that practice policies and procedures are followed.
Flexibility is paramount to cover GP extended access including early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays on a rota basis. There will be an expectation to commit to additional hours during Flu season to support the practice flu campaign.
A driving licence and access to your own vehicle to use as and when required is desirable.
The applicant will be subject to the enhanced disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB check) for any previous convictions.
