A local medical practice in Sutton-in-Ashfield is looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant. You will support the nursing and GP teams by assisting in various tasks, including health checks and vaccinations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a GP practice and possess excellent communication skills, with qualifications in phlebotomy and chronic disease management. Enthusiasm and adaptability are key in this engaging role.

Woodlands Medical Practice is a largesized teaching practice serving a population of 11,500 patients from modern,purpose-built premises in Sutton-in-Ashfield. Our strong clinical workforce issupported by an experienced administrative team to provide high qualityservices to our patients. We are a highly respected practice who has a longhistory of delivering primary care to a high standard and as a team we haveachieved an Outstanding CQC rating. Wework collaboratively with three other practices as part of the Ashfield NorthPrimary Care Network.
To assist the clinical team in the service and delivery of care to the practice population. The post holder will work under the supervision of the senior nurse undertaking tasks and duties delegated by the clinical team.
They will need to work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, ensuring that practice policies and procedures are followed.
Flexibility is paramount to cover GP extended access including early mornings, evenings and Saturdays on a rota basis. There will be an expectation to commit to additional hours during Flu season to support the practice flu campaign.
A driving licence and access to your own vehicle to use as and when required is desirable.
The applicant will be subject to the enhanced disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and barring service (formerly known as CRB check) for any previous convictions.
