Church View Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly practice team and be a part of a service that provides great patient care.
The role of HCA is an essential part of our GP Practice team who provide the full range of NHS Primary Medical Services. You will be working alongside our friendly and patient focused clinical and management teams. We would like you to have knowledge of phlebotomy and basic health checks, and would be able to provide training to expand your skills to cover the whole range of HCA competencies in a GP practice. You must work with autonomy and a high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, discretion, empathy and tact. We offer a regular shift pattern, access to NHS Pension, 28 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays, and a competitive salary. Hours are part time and negotiable, but we need the post to cover on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

RESPONSIBILITY:
The Healthcare Assistant (HCA)provides an essential patientservice, performing a range of tasks including phlebotomy, patientobservations, assisting with procedures, and maintaining a safe and efficientenvironment.Responsibilities include provision of care as supervised anddirected by the Practice Nursing team, updating records and restocking supplies. They may also be involvedin health promotion and administrative duties.

Measuring and recording vital signssuch as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
Procedureswithin scope of training and competency
Phlebotomy, injections, wound care, ECG
Assistingwith Procedures
Preparing patients for examinations,assisting with minor procedures and chaperone duties.
HealthChecks
Performing health checks, such asweight monitoring, urinalysis, and ECGs.When trained, carrying out NHSHealth Checks.
RecordKeeping
Accurately recording patientinformation in medical records and updating electronic health records.
