Job summary

Sanctuary Care Ottershaw is seeking care staff to provide high-quality resident support. You will tailor care plans with residents, assist with daily living activities, and promote dignity and respect in every interaction. A DBS check and mandatory training are required to join the team.

You will work under supervision, ensuring safety and adherence to Sanctuary Care policies while delivering compassionate, person-centered care to residents in our community setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and support to residents, aligned with personal preferences and Sanctuary Care policies.
• Administer medication safely and effectively in line with care plans and training where specialized duties apply.
• Deliver personal care with dignity, respect, and kindness, assisting residents in daily living while preserving dignity.
• Tailor care plans to individual needs with resident involvement to ensure appropriate support across daily activities.
• Support risk assessments to meet health and safety requirements.
• Assist residents with individual and group activities, including social interaction, per care plans.

Job description

• Provide a quality care and support service for residents, taking into consideration their personal preferences, under supervision, and in line with Sanctuary Care policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the safe and effective administration of medication in line with individual care plans and company policy when trained to do so.
• Deliver personal care and treat residents with dignity, respect, and kindness. Provide support to residents in making personal choices that enrich their lives while maintaining their dignity.
• Ensure that care plans are continually tailored to individual needs with the involvement of the resident in order that the appropriate level of support is provided for all aspects of daily living.
• Support risk assessments to ensure that care and support are provided in line with the relevant health and safety requirements.
• Assist residents with individual and group activities, including social interaction, in line with individual care and support plans.
