A healthcare provider in Harrogate is seeking a Health Care Assistant to deliver compassionate care to patients. In this role, you will assist with personal hygiene, meal support, and maintaining patient comfort. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is required, along with previous experience in a healthcare setting. The position offers a salary of £24,937 to £26,598 per annum, pro rata. Please Note
Our Healthcare Assistants carry out assigned tasks involving direct patient care in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse. You will work as an integrated member of the ward team, assisting with nursing procedures according to agreed policies.
You will maintain the patient's dignity and self-respect at all times and achieving a high standard of care.
Our Healthcare Assistants have an allocated base-ward but they are expected to work in different areas within the hospital as required.
You will be accountable for ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered and will constantly promote: patient safety, effective care and a positive patient experience at each stage of the patient's journey.
Our Healthcare Assistants are expected to work a combination of days, nights and weekends including Bank Holidays and Christmas Day.

The role of a Healthcare Assistant is essential on our wards and you will have the privilege to provide compassionate care and reassurance to our patients.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
