Field Based position

Covering Manhattan
Bilingual English/Cantonese, Mandarin, highly preferred

Position Purpose:

The Health Benefit Representative (HBR) sells Fidelis Care products and services by identifying membership growth opportunities in an assigned territory and meeting or exceeding production goals through enrollment. The HBR thoroughly understands and can effectively explain, communicate, recommend, and enroll individuals into the most suitable Fidelis Care product based on their needs. In-depth knowledge of all Fidelis Care products, including “metal” products offered through the New York State of Health (NYSOH), Medicaid Managed Care, Child Health Plus, Medicare, MLTC, FIDA, and HARP, is essential. The HBR should be able to answer product feature questions, compare Fidelis Care products, and understand the provider networks of competing plans in the territory.

  • The HBR interacts directly with individuals, conducting needs-based analyses to recommend appropriate products. They educate on healthy lifestyles and preventive care, guiding individuals through the application and enrollment process.
  • This role may involve representing Fidelis Care at community events, marketing sites, and in homes. Building relationships within the community is vital to find new opportunities and sites within the assigned territory. The HBR may deliver presentations to individuals, groups, providers, community organizations, and local business leaders to promote Fidelis Care.
  • The HBR uses the Sales Force CRM to track activities, manage appointments, follow-ups, and report activities. They should be fluent in articulating the QCMI program, knowledgeable about provider networks, and familiar with Fidelis Care’s care management approach.

Position Details

Field-based with high community engagement.
Offices located in Chinatown.
Occasional evenings and weekends.
Highly preferred bilingual skills in English/Cantonese and Mandarin.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required.
2-5 years of experience in managed care, sales, customer service, or related fields preferred.
Basic computer skills required.
Driver’s license required.
Specific language skills may be required by some plans.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay Range: $22.79 - $38.84 per hour.
Centene offers comprehensive benefits, including competitive pay, health insurance, 401K, stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements (remote, hybrid, field, or office).

Actual pay will be based on skills, experience, education, and other factors. Total compensation may include additional incentives.
