Health & Beauty Packaging Technologist, Greater London

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate packaging technologist in health and beauty to join an innovative retailer. Based at our client’s vibrant Head Office, this role involves working with a dynamic team that values its customers and staff.

Responsibilities include managing packaging CSR, structure, and print for a diverse range of FMCG Health & Beauty products. You will also focus on cost improvement related to packaging changes.

Key Responsibilities

• CSR: Lead the CSR Packaging Roadmap, stay updated on packaging and recycling innovations, attend industry events, review pack formats for recyclability, and collaborate with suppliers to minimize over-packing.
• Structural: Approve pack formats for structural integrity, brand consistency, and on-shelf visibility, providing feedback to suppliers.
• Print & Colour Management: Collaborate with designers and printers to realize packaging designs, manage colour standards, and review print samples.
• Artwork: Verify artwork layouts, print specifications, and compliance with recycling standards.
• Other: Suggest cost-saving measures, contribute to process improvements, and support ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a packaging technologist in retail or FMCG, preferably in health and beauty.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with multiple stakeholders.
• Proven success in managing packaging projects from concept to store.
• Understanding of how packaging design impacts costs.
• Proactive team player with results-driven attitude.
