Main Purpose of Job

We aim to use sport to engage communities and promote active, socially connected lifestyles. We seek an ambitious, personable Senior Project Coordinator to manage impactful programmes focused on mental health, including activities like Active Minds and Being Mee, and support projects like Food, Sports, and Men’s health. An exciting development is the opening of a Clubhouse Café in Gunnersbury Park, linked to social impact initiatives. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, able to work autonomously, and adept at engaging diverse audiences, with capacity for some unsociable hours.

Responsibilities
Programme Management and Delivery:
  • Plan and set up activities according to delivery plans and budgets, including facility booking and staff coordination
  • Deliver accessible, impactful sessions to target groups, promoting mental health and wellbeing
  • Promote programmes using digital and print media tailored to audiences
  • Advocate for best practices and promote the work of BFCCST in the community
Impact Measuring and Reporting:
  • Capture participant data using Views or Salesforce
  • Report impact with qualitative and quantitative data for funders
  • Present impact data creatively for various audiences, collaborating with Media and Communications teams
Safeguarding, Risk Management and Support:
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies, record concerns appropriately
  • Collaborate across teams on safeguarding efforts
  • Conduct risk assessments and record them
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A relevant degree or qualification in sport psychology, counselling, mental health, or health and social care
  • Strong understanding of mental health and physical activity's role in its management
  • Experience delivering mental health interventions to diverse groups
  • Experience in programme planning, delivery, and coordination
  • Experience working with young people and in school environments
  • Current First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and Safeguarding certifications or willingness to update
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Knowledge of local community issues and the education system
