MAN v FAT Football offers 14-week, small-sided football leagues designed to support overweight men in improving their physical and mental health. Launched in 2016 by male weight loss specialists, MAN v FAT appeals to men who love football and want to lose weight.
What makes these clubs unique is that the coach weighs each player before their game. Players earn bonus goals for weight loss, so the league is based on points and pounds lost.
The program has been hugely successful, with players losing hundreds of thousands of lbs since 2016, endorsed by the FA and Sport England, with over 150 clubs across the UK.
We are looking for a dedicated MAN v FAT Club Coach to support players and ensure smooth club operations at Dagenham (Fridays, 7:30–9:00 pm). This role involves supporting and motivating men to make lifestyle changes, facilitating sessions, and handling admin tasks. It does not involve on-pitch training or football coaching.
We value attitude over experience. You should be a team player, organized, an effective communicator, and have a genuine interest or experience in weight loss. You must be confident with computers (own device required), have a current First Aid qualification, and access to transport (training and equipment provided).
Enjoy benefits like free club membership, health and wellbeing programs, professional development, and access to training courses.
Sessional role (3 hours/week) with potential to expand. Salary: £15–£20/hour.
Deadline: Monday 3rd June 2025. Interviews likely on Thursday 5th June 2025 via Microsoft Teams. Location: Dagenham, London. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
