A healthcare employer is seeking a Health and Wellbeing Coach in Willerby to support the Swap to Stop Campaign. Responsibilities include offering 1-1 support to patients, conducting wellness tests, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices. An exciting opportunity has risen for a Health and Wellbeing Coach. This position will be to support the Swap to Stop Campaign on our Inpatient Units as well as our staff within the organisation. You will be required to travel to different trust locations but this will mostly be focused around the inpatient and forensic units. You will support people to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence in managing their health, to improve health outcomes and quality of life to support them making positive changes via coaching and through providing access to interventions such as self-management education, peer support and more. There will be a particular focus on going smoke free through utilising nicotine replacement therapy or vapes as quitting tools to stop smoking.
The successful candidate will be compassionate, reflective and self-aware and enjoy working with a wide range of people. They will have good communication skills and a firm belief that people have untapped resources within them, that can be developed by providing high quality, non-judgemental support. They will be proactive with a flexible attitude, keen to work as part of a team and committed to developing themselves in this skilled role.
