Are you a passionate and dedicated Health and Social Care Teacher looking to take your career to the next level with leadership responsibilities? The successful candidate will teach Health and Social Care to KS4 and KS5 students, with a special focus on curriculum development and student outcomes. This role also includes a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) to support department growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Delivering engaging lessons in Health and Social Care to KS4 and KS5 students, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • TLR Responsibilities: As part of your TLR, you will be expected to take a lead role within the department, including curriculum development, coordinating resources, and mentoring staff and students.
  • Curriculum Development: Contributing to the ongoing development of the Health and Social Care curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.
  • Student Support: Provide pastoral care to students, supporting them in achieving their academic and personal goals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership team, subject leads, and other staff to enhance the department and drive student outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualifications: A degree in Health and Social Care or a related field, alongside QTS or PGCE.
  • Experience: Previous teaching experience within Health and Social Care at KS4 and KS5 is preferred, but we also encourage passionate ECTs to apply.
  • Leadership Potential: Experience in or aspirations for leadership within education, particularly in the Health and Social Care sector.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine interest in supporting students' academic and personal growth, and an enthusiasm for the subject matter.
