GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Social Care Teachers to work across schools and colleges in Wickford, with roles available for an immediate start.

Whether you're an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging, real-world curriculum content that prepares students for careers in health, care, and early years settings.

Responsibilities of a Health and Social Care Teacher:

  • Teach Health and Social Care across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 (BTEC or equivalent).
  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons that reflect the latest practices in the field.
  • Support students in coursework and vocational assessments.
  • Promote the development of empathy, ethics, and professional understanding.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and tailored support.
  • Contribute to the wider school/college community and enrichment opportunities.

Teacher of Health and Social Care Qualifications:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Health and Social Care or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Health and Social Care at GCSE and/or A-Level or BTEC.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to connect theory to real-life applications.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
