Overview:

Are you a passionate and experienced teacher looking to make a difference in a specialist Post-16 setting? Reeson Education is partnering with a well-resourced Special School in West London seeking a dedicated SEN Health and Social Care Teacher to join their team from September.

About the School:

This special needs school focuses on providing a holistic environment for students with special educational needs and vulnerable young people aged 16-25. Its goal is to equip students with valuable employment skills and support their transition into adult life confidently.

The Role:
  1. Teaching Health and Social Care to learners aged 16-19 with a range of SEN, including autism, MLD, and complex needs.
  2. Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons supporting academic and life skills development.
  3. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, teaching assistants, and SEN specialists.
The Ideal Candidate:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  2. Experience teaching in an SEN or alternative provision environment, ideally at Post-16 level.
  3. Strong knowledge of the Health and Social Care curriculum.
  4. Commitment to inclusive education and fostering independence and self-regulation in young adults with additional needs.
