£32,455-£45,260 per annum (including London weighting)

At Clarus Education, we are working with an FE College who are seeking to appoint a Health and Social Care Lecturer based at their Harrow Campus.

The college’s Health and Social Care Section is a successful, dynamic and vibrant area of the College, delivering a range of courses to learners, primarily aged 16-19 to prepare them for careers in the health/social care sector.

They are seeking to appoint a qualified Nurse to fill this full time Lecturer post to teach across the Level 3 T Level Technical Qualification in Health and BTEC Health and Social Care Levels 1, 2 and 3.

You will need to possess:


  • A degree in Nursing and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with current/recent clinical experience gained within the health/social care sector
  • You will also need to have some experience of teaching or training.
  • If you do not already possess a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, the college will support you to obtain this.


Qualifications


  • A degree in Nursing
  • Registered with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
  • A minimum of Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g DET, PGCE) ** or willingness and ability to work towards qualification, supported by the College


Knowledge and Experience


  • Teaching or training experience
  • Experience of delivering Health and Social Care programmes including Health Sciences, BTEC including external exam units
  • Current or recent clinical experience gained within the Health/Social Care sector
  • Up to date knowledge of the relevant subject area, with good knowledge of Biology
  • Knowledge of and ability to teach Health and Science
