Job description

Location: Ofsted-rated 'Good' college in Greater Manchester

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

Contract: Full-time or part-time, permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Lecturer in Health & Social Care to join a dedicated team at a well-regarded further education college in Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will deliver a range of qualifications, including BTEC, CACHE, and T Levels, from Level 1 to Level 5.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across various Health & Social Care programmes, integrating Information and Learning Technology (ILT) and e-learning tools to enhance the learning experience.
  2. Teach across a range of qualifications, including BTEC, CACHE, and T Levels, from Level 1 to Level 5.
  3. Provide pastoral support as a tutor, fostering a supportive environment that addresses individual student needs.
  4. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to contribute to the college's inclusive and innovative educational approach.
  5. Engage in curriculum development to ensure programmes remain current and responsive to industry needs.

Essential:

  1. Level 5 health and social care and significant experience in the care sector

Desirable:

  1. Teaching experience
  2. Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards one.
