Job Title: Lecturer in Health and Social Care

Location: UK Management College - Sunderland Campus

We are open to full-time as well as part-time applications.

Job Purpose: As a Lecturer in Health and Social Care, you will design, develop, and deliver teaching materials for undergraduate students, ensuring high-quality educational experiences and contributing to research and practice in the field. You will guide and assess students, support field activities, and foster collaborative learning environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Curriculum Development: Deliver engaging lectures, develop curriculum materials aligned with industry standards, and apply varied teaching techniques.
• Student Assessment & Support: Supervise student projects, develop assessment methods, and act as a personal tutor to support students academically and pastorally.
• Research & Scholarship: Engage in scholarly activities, collaborate on research, publish findings, and seek funding for research initiatives.
• Networking & Partnerships: Establish links with health and social care providers and represent the institution at relevant conferences.
• Administrative & Quality Assurance: Handle academic duties, ensure course content complies with quality standards, and contribute to program reviews.

Person Specification:

Qualifications: Master's degree in Health and Social Care or related discipline; PhD preferred. Teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one is desirable.
