Job summary

t2 Group is seeking a Health and Social Care Assessor to join our field-based team covering Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas. You will focus on workplace observations and learner progression, travelling for on-site assessments and delivering feedback.

The role is full-time and permanent, offering a £33,000 annual salary plus bonus and expenses. You will be supported by Regional Managers and work independently in a busy apprenticeship setting.

Qualifications

• Must have assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or D32/33).
• Level 5+ Health & Social Care qualification required.
• Minimum 2 years’ management experience in Adult Health and Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace observations in care settings.
• Assess learners against apprenticeship standards.
• Provide structured feedback and support progression.
• Manage a caseload of learners across your region.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted and awarding body requirements.
• Support learners through mock assessments and reviews.

The Role

• We’re recruiting for a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to support apprenticeship learners across workplace settings.
• This role focuses specifically on only carrying out workplace observations and contributing to learner progress, working alongside Personal Development Managers who lead the wider apprenticeship journey.
• You will work with learners across Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas, with travel planned to maximise efficiency.
• You will typically complete 10 observations per week, alongside planning, reporting, and remote admin work.
• This role is sometimes referred to as Apprenticeship Assessor, Health and Social Care Tutor or Skills Coach within Health and Social Care.
