The post holder will provide administrative support to the Health and Safety Team. The post holder will ensure that internal procedures are followed and deadlines are adhered to so that the Team provides a quality, focused and professional service.
The role will include dealing with complex and sensitive information therefore the post holder must always demonstrate professionalism. It is essential that you can liaise and communicate effectively with staff, patients and public. This will include the use of excellent interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated ability to deal with a high volume of work whilst maintaining standards and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment proactively assisting the Team to achieve their objectives. Must have the ability to use personal judgement and follow managerial guidance and support in relation to prioritisation of workload.
You will have experience in a role that requires attention to detail and accuracy. You will be able to coordinate and manage large amounts of administration and support the Team in their role to distribute and disseminate prepared information, meeting papers, safety notices, inspection reports and risk documentation.
The successful applicant will be a competent user of Microsoft Office packages including proficient use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
The Post holder will work in accordance with the Trust Policies and procedures.
The duties and responsibilities of the post will be undertaken in accordance with the policies, procedures and practices of the Trust, which may be amended from time to time.
Patient Safety is a key priority for the Trust. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully compliant with EMAS policies and procedures in respect of patient safety, for example Risk Management, Infection Prevention and Control, Safeguarding children and adults.
