Location: Derbyshire

Duration: Initial 6-8 months (likely extension)

Start: ASAP (SC clearance required)

IR35: Outside

Working Pattern: 5 days per week on site

Please note: Must Hold Security Clearance (SC) in line with United Kingdom Security Vetting.

Overview

We are supporting a long-term, high-security major infrastructure programme in Derby. The project involves large-scale construction and site upgrades for a nationally significant client. The Health and Safety Project Manager will focus on operations, governance, and assurance, ensuring compliance across active construction sites and complex infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead governance and assurance processes across site operations
  2. Oversee statutory inspections and contractor compliance
  3. Conduct site audits, safety inspections, and investigations
  4. Engage with multiple contractors and stakeholders, representing the client's HSE interests
  5. Drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance
Candidate Profile
  • SC-cleared or eligible for clearance (sponsorship possible)
  • Proven track record in managing HSE within large-scale infrastructure or regulated industries (nuclear, defence, energy, rail, etc.)
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 5/6, or equivalent
