Job description

A leading Manufacturing company that has been thriving on a global scale is looking to hire a HSE Officer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join a company that offers a great working environment and structure.

This is a permanent role based at the company's Dungannon site.

Salary

Fully negotiable - a highly competitive rate of pay, which is negotiable based on experience, plus great benefits.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are in place, communicated, enforced, and systems and procedures required daily, weekly, monthly, and annually are correctly implemented.
  2. Ensure the company complies with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  3. Liaise with HSE and other enforcing authorities when required.
  4. Carry out workplace inspection audits.
  5. Conduct fire drills to ensure all employees understand emergency procedures and that equipment is functioning properly.
  6. Investigate accidents, emergencies, and near misses to determine causes and preventative measures.
  7. Provide information, advice, and support to management on all health and safety aspects across the site.
  8. Conduct training sessions to ensure employees are aware of regulations and procedures, and that training is up to date.
  9. Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents.
  10. Chair Health and Safety Committee meetings, coordinate agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  11. Maintain the ISO system at the designated site.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Certificate in NEBOSH or equivalent; a diploma would be advantageous.
  • Previous health and safety experience.
