Health and Safety Officer / H&S / NEBOSH / Redditch / GBP28,000

Health and Safety Officer - Are you passionate about promoting a positive health and safety culture? We're looking for a Health and Safety Officer to join a fantastic manufacturing business. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards while driving continuous improvement across the business.

  • Location: Redditch
  • Salary: GBP26,000 - GBP28,000
  • Skills: H&S Experience / NVQ Level 3
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation, review, and maintenance of operational risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement safe working procedures, considering all relevant hazards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide training and guidance on key H&S areas (fire safety, first aid, manual handling, etc.).
  • Carry out COSHH assessments and maintain accurate records.
  • Support Directors and Managers in making compliant, safety-driven decisions.
What We're Looking For:
  • Relevant H&S qualification (NVQ Level 3 / NEBOSH General Certificate).
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and engage staff at all levels.
  • A proactive team player with a passion for driving H&S standards.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety role.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Membership of IOSH (or similar institution).
