An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to support their construction projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in the retail construction sector. You will work closely with project teams to assess risks, develop safety plans, and maintain documentation. Summary
Our client design, manufacture and source a range of display equipment to meet specific retail requirements. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will provide health & safety support and advice to everyone across the business in particular the construction and project delivery teams.
You will act as the Competent Person and support the business in the effective delivery of both the pre-construction & construction phases of a project, while at the same time providing knowledge and support to the teams delivering these projects.
You will also be responsible for all health and safety matters across the estate and must be able to understand, digest and communicate the necessary legal & regulatory requirements required in a manner that everyone can understand and follow.
You will work a 37 hour working week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 with hour unpaid lunch break).
This role reports to the Compliance Manager, but, daily, will require the development of a close working relationship with the construction & projects teams and the H&S Coordinators.
