About the Role

Provide assistance, guidance, and advice on environment, health, and safety matters as the business requires.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the relationship with the Health and Safety Executive, lead HSE Audits, close out items raised promptly, and identify improvements.
• Promote a safety culture across HSW departments, build relationships, drive initiatives, and communicate successes.
• Manage the COSHH manual in accordance with relevant legislation.
• Manage and submit data compliant with Packaging Waste Regulations.
• Conduct EHS inspections and audits on and off-site, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure legal compliance.
• Assist in accident investigations to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Review policies and procedures to ensure alignment with the management system and compliance verification.
• Maintain records related to EHS, including ISO 14001, waste, water, energy, and carbon footprinting.
• Collaborate with the Health & Safety Network to ensure policy compliance and best practices.
• Develop and maintain relationships with outsourced HS&E providers and streamline standards.
• Maintain and improve EHS systems.
• Identify and implement new technologies and best practices to enhance safety and environmental impact.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs.
• Participate actively as a member of the HSW’s Plant Leadership Team (PLT).
• Perform departmental administration as needed.
