Health and Safety Officer – Are you looking for a Health and Safety Officer role? Interested in working for a leading Mechanical Contractor?

Client: Our client is a leading Mechanical Contractor with a reputation for quality workmanship and reliability. They work on a range of projects across Commercial, Industrial, Leisure, Retail and Healthcare sectors throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe. The business has a strong order book for next year, particularly on data centre projects. This role is based in Antrim and is office-based with occasional travel (1 or 2 days per month).

Responsibilities
  • Assist the HSE Manager in developing strategies and internal policies to ensure compliance with HSE legislation across all areas in which the business operates
  • Carry out reporting obligations in line with legislative requirements
  • Investigate incidents to determine root causes
  • Maintain up-to-date records of incidents, training, inspections and other relevant data
  • Monitor HSE performance, conduct trend analysis and implement improvements to enhance performance
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices and regulatory changes
  • Assist the H&S Manager with maintaining the company's ISO Management Systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate practices into daily operations
  • Respond to employees' concerns and implement systems for improvements
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • Other relevant Health and Safety qualifications
  • Experience working as a Health and Safety Officer
  • Good communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills
