Overview

We are working with a leading manufacturer in the Beccles area who are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Officer to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering stability, strong employee benefits, and the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the EHS Manager and deputising in their absence
  • Conducting environmental monitoring, inspections, and audits
  • Maintaining company risk assessments, safe systems of work, and COSHH compliance
  • Preparing KPI and monthly performance reports
  • Assisting with accident and incident investigations
  • Delivering health, safety, and environmental training across the business
  • Supporting departments in raising standards of training documentation
  • Advising staff and contractors on compliance and best practice
About you / Qualifications
  • NEBOSH Health and Safety and Environmental Certificate (or IOSH equivalent)
  • Experience in a Health and Safety role, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Good knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, and relevant HSE legislation
  • Strong communication and presentation skills - able to engage with all levels of the business
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage changing priorities
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and documentation control
