Health And Safety Manager - Reed Exclusive

Health & Safety Manager Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Part-time considered)
Location: Dungannon - site visits and audits required
Salary: Competitive

Reed is working exclusively with a fast-growing business with divisions in civil engineering and construction. We are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to play a crucial role in maintaining safety and compliance, ensuring the well-being of our teams and meeting client needs.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate and manage Occupational Health & Safety, Environment, and Quality Assurance.
  2. Develop, maintain, and enhance SHEQ management systems.
  3. Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legislation.
  4. Provide support to project sites and assist site teams.
  5. Prepare documentation and liaise with clients to fulfill SHEQ requirements.
  6. Manage subcontractor evaluation and reviews.
  7. Work independently to meet deadlines and assist in bid/tender qualifications.
  8. Ensure compliance across sites in NI/ROI and take ownership of continual improvement across the business.
  9. Responsible for staff training for upcoming works.
  10. Perform additional duties as required to aid the continued success of the business.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management position.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a SHEQ position.
  • Essential construction experience.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent Level 4 Safety Qualification.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and liaison skills, capable of effectively managing relationships with clients and subcontractors.
