Job description

Railway electrification company requires a Health and Safety Manager on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to and promote company procedures
• Ensure proper communication strategies, resources, training and competency / evaluation measures are in place for team members to safely deliver their work
• Understand potential safety risks and make sure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate these and comply with industry legislation
• Put in place health and safety improvement measures and strategies
• Ensure business compliance with health and safety policies and strategies, audit compliance in line with legal requirements
• Lead and carry out investigations when required
• Help with implementation of the Behavioural Safety and Safety Culture Change Programme
• Liaise with client representative and supply chain to ensure effective communication on HSQE

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Health and Safety Manager or Senior Health and Safety Advisor in the rail industry
• NEBOSH
• IEMA
• PTS
• Driving licence and willingness to travel to sites in Northern England and Scotland
