We're hiring! Health & Safety Manager (Maternity Cover) | York + Travel to Sites

Fixed-Term Contract | £34,363.00 - £37,533.00 per annum

Full-time | Maternity Cover (Fixed Term)

Based at Askham Bryan College, York

We’re looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to join us on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave – and help keep our staff, students and visitors safe and sound across our beautiful land-based college sites.

You’ll lead on all aspects of health and safety – from risk assessments and training to fire safety and accident investigations. You’ll be a trusted advisor to colleagues, helping everyone stay up to date and compliant in a supportive, approachable way.

What we’re looking for:

1. NEBOSH qualified (essential)
2. Confident in legislation, risk management, and reporting
3. Excellent communication and organisation skills
4. Able to train and influence across all levels
5. Calm, reliable, and ready to roll up your sleeves

You’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle – as travel between sites is part of the role.
