A regional educational institution in Wakefield is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead health and safety functions across three campuses. This role involves ensuring legal compliance and developing safety strategies. Candidates should possess a health and safety qualification and strong organizational skills. Health and Safety Manager
Location: Based at Wakefield College, but with frequent working at Castleford & Selby Colleges.
Salary: £45,734 - £48,514 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Weeks: 52 weeks per year
We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Health and Safety Manager to join our Estates team across all 3 of our campuses. You will be responsible for managing and directing the Group’s Health and Safety function, ensuring a safe, healthy and legally compliant environment for all students, staff, visitors and contractors. The Heart of Yorkshire Education Group has three College campuses, in Wakefield, Castleford and Selby, where you will lead the teams on the development, implementation and rigorous oversight of the Group’s Health and Safety strategies, and ensuring full statutory compliance with current legislation.
This is a diverse role where you will be building relationships with curriculum and support staff, and many other stakeholders. As a Health and Safety Manager you should be confident, well organised, and proactive with good IT skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
