Health and Safety Manager North-West Region Up to 60,000 based on experience plus Excellent Benefits

Are you a NEBOSH qualified safety professional with significant experience in managing health and safety across multiple sites? Do you have experience within the traffic management and waste management sectors? If so, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you!

A leading Engineering and Environmental Consultancy is seeking to recruit a new Health and Safety Manager to provide crucial support across two diverse businesses within their portfolio.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:

  1. Promoting a positive health and safety culture across sites, seeking best practice at every opportunity.
  2. Preparing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements, and safety documentation to support operational functions, while conducting inductions, training sessions, and toolbox talks across sites.
  3. Assisting the onsite management team in providing SHEQ compliance, advice and guidance with applicable legislation and waste/traffic industry best practices.
  4. Engaging the workforce on behavioural safety topics.

The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:

  1. NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent.
  2. Proven experience in a similar Health and Safety role, with a proven track record of managing H&S across multiple sites. Knowledge of traffic and waste management, and solar installation experience is advantageous.
  3. The ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organization.
  4. Full clean UK driving license and the flexibility to work varying hours as needed.
