Day–to–day of the role:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the HSE Management System and process improvements.
  • Deliver effective reviews to drive continuously improving levels of quality performance.
  • Support the integration of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Systems.
  • Manage internal and external quality audit processes.
  • Provide expertise and problem–solving capabilities through in–depth knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment Management Systems.
  • Implement health and safety strategies in line with company standards and management responsibilities.
  • Support the integration of the local Health and Safety Management System to achieve overall site accreditation to standards.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the Annual Site Business Plan.
  • Lead, coordinate, and manage HSE objectives and continuous improvement projects to enhance site performance.
  • Coach colleagues on audits, behavioral safety, investigations, risk assessments, and performance management systems to improve the effectiveness of these systems/processes.
  • Support the development of colleagues in their specific HSE roles and responsibilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems and compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Excellent problem–solving and analytical skills.
  • Relevant certifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
