Health and Safety Manager – Local Authority (Midlands)

Rate: Competitive hourly rate (Inside IR35)

Duration: 3–6 months Initially

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Health and Safety Support team

• Provide expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and welfare to directorate managers

• Ensure the delivery of an effective health and safety service across the Directorate

• Coach managers and team members to address and resolve health and safety issues

• Champion a positive safety culture, linking values and leadership behaviours

• Promote awareness and understanding of health and safety benefits

• Drive the implementation of new health and safety policies and procedures

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience managing health and safety teams

• Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH)
