Job summary

Page Personnel in the UK is seeking an interim Health and Safety Manager for our Essex operations. You will develop and implement HSE policies, conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and lead training to foster a safety-first culture.

You will investigate incidents, maintain records, ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation, and work with operations to embed best practices. Travel/commute to Essex is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, audits, and workplace safety assessments.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and environmental events, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Support risk assessment and safe system of work development.
• Provide advice and guidance to colleagues, contractors, and managers on HSE matters.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Contribute to environmental improvement initiatives and sustainability objectives.
• Maintenance of management systems, documentation, and compliance records.
• Participate in safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and employee engagement activities.
• Work closely with operational teams to promote a positive health, safety, and environmental culture.
• Commute to Essex
