Job summary

A leading company in health and safety based in Kirkintilloch is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager. You will oversee compliance with health and safety legislation, conduct audits, and manage training courses. Permanent vacancy - Group Health and Safety Manager

Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00

Our client based in Kirkintilloch is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their busy team. We are looking for experience so that you can run with this role to the highest of standard. Ideally, we are looking for someone with drive and ambition who is looking for a long-time career. If you are an experience H&S Manger, then please read on for more information.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation
  • Experience in safety, health, environment, and quality management
  • Previous experience in preparing and undertaking ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001audits
  • Excellent communicator at all levels and the functions of the business
  • Self-managed and motivated
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills are essential
  • Good level of PC literacy, Microsoft Office and online portals
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Able to prepare for annual audits
  • Complete site-specific RAMS
  • Complete COSHH assessments
  • Arranging Training courses and ensuring all training is up to date
  • Accident and incident investigation and follow up actions.
  • Compiling Construction Phase Plans and Traffic management plans
  • Risk Assessments and Method statements
  • COSHH assessments
  • Subcontractor management
  • H&S questions and queries
  • H&S Inductions for new engineers
  • Inducting new staff & sub-contractors

Requirements

  • Health and safety: 2 years
  • IOSH membership (or willing to achieve)
  • Minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate or Construction certificate
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Experience in compiling Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Experience in compiling COSHH Assessments
  • 20 days annual leave plus public holidays
  • Excellent career prospects
