Health and Safety Manager

Shirley Parsons have exclusively partnered with an established Facilities Management company, who are hiring a Health and Safety Manager to support their growing organisation. This is a stand alone position, that will see the successful applicant be the go to person for all Health and Safety queries and questions. There will be a mixture of strategic and hands on responsibilities and the potential to further develop a best in class Health and Safety culture. This position is predominantly office based in Glasgow, with occasional travel across the Central Belt of Scotland.

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:

  1. Reviewing, developing and maintaining all Health and Safety policies and procedures
  2. Closely collaborating with senior leadership, developing Health and Safety strategy
  3. Building strong working relationships at all levels with key internal and external stakeholders
  4. Ensuring compliance and fostering a positive Health and Safety culture

The successful Health and Safety Manager will:

  1. Ideally hold a Diploma/ Degree in Health and Safety; equivalent experience and Certificate qualifications will also be considered
  2. Have experience working within Facilities Management/ Construction or relatable sectors
  3. Be confident in operating in a stand alone position, with minimal supervision or support needed
  4. Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport at all levels
