O'Neill & Brennanare recruiting on behalf of our client, a dynamic and expanding residential housebuilder based in Kent. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead all aspects of health and safety across their construction sites and operations. This is a key strategic role with direct impact on operational performance, compliance, and the company’s long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain robust Health and Safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and inspections across multiple developments.
Lead accident and incident investigations, ensuring thorough reporting and follow-up actions.
Provide expert guidance and support to site and project teams on all health and safety matters.
Deliver training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings for both staff and subcontractors.
Monitor and review subcontractor H&S performance and compliance.
Champion a strong, positive health and safety culture across the business.
Liaise with regulatory bodies including the HSE as required.
Stay up to date with legislative changes and industry best practices.
Candidate Requirements:
NEBOSH General Certificate (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent preferred).
Tech IOSH or higher (Grad IOSH or CMIOSH desirable).
Demonstrable experience in a Health and Safety leadership role within the residential construction or housebuilding sector.
In-depth knowledge of UK H&S legislation, CDM 2015 regulations, and construction site compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Full UK driving licence – travel to sites across Kent is essential.
