Health and Safety Manager Kettering 45,000 - 55,000 (DOE) + Additional Benefits

If these questions strike a chord, you might be interested in this Health and Safety Manager role, joining a building materials manufacturing operation experiencing rapid development and growth across their two sites in the Midlands. This position presents a unique opportunity to lead impactful safety initiatives as the company introduces a new production line, playing a key role in a their remarkable business growth, backed by decades of industry expertise.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:

  • Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and guidance to build robust health and safety capability across all departments of the site.
  • Keep the site consistently compliant with UK health and safety regulations.
  • Actively connect with employees at every level to foster a strong, proactive health and safety culture.
  • Oversee regular audits and inspections to evaluate health and safety performance, proactively identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with contractors, regulators, and enforcement agencies to strengthen compliance and maintain high health and safety standards on-site.

The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:

  • Proven background in a role where managing and leading audits, inspections, and certifications was commonplace.
  • Significant experience in health and safety roles within challenging industries, particularly manufacturing.
  • Effective at influencing stakeholders at all levels, whether that be the team on the shop floor, or members of the board, and crafting high-quality presentations to communicate key messages.
  • Independent, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
