I am currently working with a leading M&E contractor in the building services sector, providing mechanical and electrical engineering solutions across various industries. The company has an annual turnover of over £200 million, with average project values of £30 million+, serving markets including high-end residential, commercial fit-outs, data centres, offsite modular engineering, and life sciences.

Health and Safety Manager Opportunity:

Our client seeks a proactive and confident Health and Safety Manager to join their expanding team. This role involves ensuring compliance and fostering a strong safety culture across a diverse project portfolio. You will manage your schedule, balancing site visits and office work, with flexibility to choose between their Central and East London offices. Currently overseeing 16 live projects, with 4 to 5 assigned to you, each requiring 2-3 site visits per month for support and oversight.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support HSQE project documentation, including Safety and Health Plans
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety legislation and standards
• Review safety documentation from clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Conduct site inspections and produce reports
• Assist in preparing Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and related documentation
• Conduct toolbox talks
• Report regularly to management and clients
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports
• Provide HSQE advice to staff and contractors
• Compile Safety Files and O&M Manuals
• Hold a NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction or IOSH
• Have at least 4 years of HSQE experience in construction
• Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
