Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Location: Coventry
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Hours: 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday

About the Role:
A leading UK manufacturer in the home-building sector is looking for an experienced and driven Health and Safety Manager to oversee health and safety practices across multiple advanced production sites. With three manufacturing facilities and a strong focus on sustainability, precision, and quality, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and forward-thinking business.

This role would suit a Health & Safety Advisor looking to take the next step into management, with the support and scope to grow and shape the function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Carry out comprehensive risk assessments across all manufacturing and production areas.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, producing detailed reports with corrective actions.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and workplace assessments to ensure compliance.
  • Advise managers and team leaders on best practices and legal requirements.
  • Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to employees.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for reporting and external audits.

Requirements:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification) is essential.
  • Experience in a health and safety role within manufacturing, construction, or engineering.
  • A solid understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Confident communication skills with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Eagerness to take ownership and develop leadership experience in a management role.
